The 2011 Rugby World Cup is the seventh Rugby World Cup. This international Rugby Union championship started in 1987.The tournament is one of the largest international sporting competitions in the world.

Teams from 20 rugby-playing nations will take part in the 2011 cup finals. The title of world champions is currently held by South Africa, who won the 2007 tournament held in France.
